RATES
- For a 9-hour recording/mixing/editing day,
there is a flat rate of £80. This kind of rate is unheard of in studio-land.
If I have to travel a fair distance to get myself and my studio to you,
help with the petrol money would be very much appreciated too. Any fees
should be paid on the first day of a session.
- If you are booking a block of 3 days or more,
discounts may apply!
- Email me with any queries- the room we record
in is pretty crucial to the overall outcome, but as long as it's quiet (ie,
well isolated or away from busy roads), we should be able to achieve excellent
results.
- Remeber that any acoustic guitars, percussion,
DI'd instruments or vocal overdubs can be recorded in my studio- this could
save you money as you won't need to book a rehersal room to record these.
How does it work? - Example 1:-
- Day 1:
A band books a rehearsal room for 9 hours. I turn up, set up, and we record
drums, bass, guitars and other loud bits and bobs. 3 or 4 songs is ideal
as it means we shouldn't be rushed and it's enough for an EP or demo.
- Day 2: Vocal and acoustic
overdubs in my studio.
- Day 3: I edit and mix the
songs and furnish the band with CDs of the mixes (or the band come round
to have a listen). After a thorough listen, you recommend any changes I
should make, I then make these changes and then provide the band with a
master CD of the mixes.
How does it work? - Example 2:-
- You are a singer/songwriter wanting a demo.
- Day 1: You come round to
my studio and record 3 or 4 songs in one day
- Day 2: We edit and mix the
songs on the second day. Job done, textbook.
